The Biosphere Council is the operational and implementing agency and it has the task to contribute to the sustainability and stability of the Swedish MAB programme. This is achieved by supporting and facilitating projects in Swedish biosphere reserves and biosphere candidate areas.
Communication and exchange of experience between those who are actively working with biosphere iniitiatives in the country is central to the development of the Swedish MAB program. Meetings, courses and training organized annually by Biosphere Council, preferably as joint arrangements and associated with a biosphere reserve or a biosphere candidate.
